Performance Excellence at Agents Convention 2008
KUALA LUMPUR, 9th August 2008 - In keeping up with its tradition
to celebrate excellence amongst its agency force, Uni.Asia General
Insurance Berhad successfully organised its Agents Convention 2008
gala dinner and awards presentation ceremony this evening.
The event saw in attendance close to 160 top performing agents along
with their family members as well as senior management and employees
of Uni.Asia General.
Mohd Fauzi Yaakub, Chief Operating Officer of Uni.Asia General said,
“The Uni.Asia General Agents Convention 2008 is a tribute to
our top-performing agents who have performed remarkably well during
the financial year ended 2008. It is our hope that by recognising
the very best of our agents, we are able to galvanise the entire 1900-strong
agency force to strive for performance excellence in the coming years.”
According to Fauzi, this convention’s top achievers have contributed
significantly to the positive financial performance of Uni.Asia General
in 2007. “During the year, our agency channel contribution grew
10 percent, surpassing the RM100 million-mark to register a total
of RM103.8 million in premium contribution compared to RM94.4 million
in the previous year.”
More than 60 awards were given out to members of the agency force
this evening. Agents Convention 2008 also celebrated the launch of
the Company’s corporate philosophy “Towards Excellence”
which consists of seven core values that will make certain Uni.Asia
General will become a more formidable entity in the insurance industry.
“In the face of ever growing competition and fast changing operational
landscape, Uni.Asia General aims to support our agents via focused
brand marketing initiatives including our highly successful partnership
with the banks and insurance brokers. Besides that, we will also continue
to provide the right tools and products to help our field force members
to boost their production targets,” Fauzi concluded.
In addition to a sumptuous full course dinner spread, this year’s
Agents Convention also lined up mesmerising fire-dances by Australian
performers and beautiful songs performances by Sweet Melodies and
Alleycats, on top of the awards presentation segments to entertain
the guests.
Also present to grace the auspicious event were the directors of Uni.Asia
General. Mr. Lawrence Pereira was present on stage that evening to
present the top award category, i.e. the Million Ringgit Producer
Award to 31 winners. |
